Appointment, Identity Verification & Cancellation Policy

Edward Grant Notary Services, a service of EG3 Group LLC, is committed to providing professional, reliable, and convenient notary services. This policy outlines appointment scheduling, identity verification requirements, cancellations, rescheduling, credits, and refunds.

Appointment Scheduling

Appointments may be scheduled online, by phone, or through other approved booking methods.

Payment may be required at the time of booking for applicable travel, convenience, scheduling, technology, administrative, or other service-related fees.

Notarial act fees are governed by Texas law and are charged only when a notarial act is performed.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

• Providing accurate contact information.

• Appearing for scheduled appointments on time.

• Providing valid government-issued identification when required.

• Ensuring documents are complete and ready for notarization.

• Meeting all identity verification requirements for Remote Online Notarization (RON) services.

Failure to satisfy legal notarization requirements may prevent completion of the notarization.

Mobile Notary Appointments

Travel, convenience, scheduling, and administrative fees are separate from notarial act fees.

If a customer cancels before travel begins, any refund eligibility will be determined based on services already provided and costs already incurred.

If travel has begun or the notary has arrived at the appointment location, travel and related service fees may be considered earned and may not be refundable.

Remote Online Notarization (RON

Remote Online Notarization services are conducted using secure third-party technology providers that comply with applicable legal requirements.

 

Customers may be required to complete:

 

• Credential Analysis (CA)

• Knowledge-Based Authentication (KBA)

• Other identity verification procedures required by law

 

Failure to successfully complete identity verification may prevent completion of the notarization.

Failed Indentity Verification

If a Remote Online Notarization session cannot be completed due to failed Credential Analysis, Knowledge-Based Authentication, or other required identity verification procedures, customers may apply amounts paid toward a rescheduled appointment within thirty (30) days of the original appointment date.

This credit may be used once identity verification issues have been resolved and all legal requirements can be satisfied.

After thirty (30) days, unused credits may expire. Any refund eligibility will be determined based on services already rendered, technology costs incurred, administrative work performed, and applicable law.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Customers are encouraged to provide as much notice as possible when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.

Whenever possible, customers will be offered the opportunity to reschedule rather than cancel.

Edward Grant Notary Services reserves the right to retain reasonable travel, scheduling, administrative, technology, convenience, or other service-related fees for services already provided or costs already incurred.

Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the type of service requested, work performed, travel completed, technology utilized, and applicable legal requirements.

Notarial act fees are charged only when a notarial act is performed.

Refunds will not be issued for services already rendered, travel already completed, or technology and administrative services already provided except where required by law.

Right to Refuse Service

Edward Grant Notary Services reserves the right to refuse service when:

 

• Required by law

• Identification requirements cannot be satisfied

• A signer appears unwilling, coerced, or unable to understand the transaction

• Fraud or unlawful activity is suspected

• Safety concerns exist
